Description: This raster mosaic was generated from air photography that was acquired by Land Administration over the communities of Kakisa, Fort Providence, Tulita, Norman Wells, Fort Good Hope, Deline, Colville Lake and Tuktoyaktuk in September 2019. It has been produced to meet the mapping needs of land administrators for issuing and administering leases and other interests on the land. The aerial photography adds to the existing catalog of imagery so that changes can be monitored to provide a record of how the land has been used over time. The photography was used to compile new base mapping that was created at a scale of 1:2000.The resolution of the photography is 15 cm and was acquired September 7 - 8, 2019 by Peregrine Aerial Surveys Ltd. using a Leica DMCII 230 digital camera. All processing of the orthophotos was completed by Alberta Geomatics & Mapping Consultants Inc. (AGMC) using airborne GPS and previous mapping as control. The accuracy of the orthophoto is estimated at +/- 75 cms.
